Maybe you can’t remember, but there was a time when there were no craft beer bars in Berlin. Impossible to picture, right? Well, before the scene that exists now exploded, there was us as pioneers: the very first craft beer bar in Berlin, and we’re so damn proud of that! Our story starts with the first local craft beer festival, Braufest Berlin. Back in 2014, the demand for more styles and innovative beers was growing and about to become a “beer revolution.” Within the city, it became essential to form a place where the tasting of these delicious beers would be available all year round, and that’s how Hopfenreich was born. Founded by the brilliant minds of Attila Kiss and Daniel Bart, a friendly and unique atmosphere is created where beer pours from taps built from antique industrial machinery in the heart of Kreuzberg, our beloved Wrangelkiez.
